Holiness of Adversity

Those who are entrusted with great tasks of Enlightenment,

Are first prepared, by Nature,

Through a keen but mindful endurance of hardship,

Both in body and mind,

Sometimes suffering lack and abandon or failure in their undertakings.

Only then are they able to forge their strength of character,

Development of great patience and endurance,

And attainment of outstanding mental and spiritual abilities,

Well beyond the ken of the staggering majority,

This is the nature of the Path less trodden,

The path of the Full, Complete Enlightenment.
