The perfect seeker – Part I

THE PATH LESS TRODDEN

One is truly a seeker who is

Unattached to desires, has the three

Pure actions – faith, universal responsibility,

Practice without purposeful motivation -,

Has conquered anger, is

Devoted to supreme good qualities,

Does not swerve from the Teaching,

Sees profound reality,

And longs for enlightenment.

One is truly a seeker who wishes to help,

Who does not notice injury, who

Tolerates harm from others,

Is brave, vigilant, very learned, and

Dedicated to the interests of others.

One is truly a seeker who understands suffering,

Is not attached to one’s own property and wealth,

Is without hidden enmity or grudges,

Is skilled in meditative immersion,

Skilled in demystifying signs,

Is without wrong views,

And is inwardly composed.
