Most people like the idea of angels and often we hear people say you are lucky, you must have a Guardian Angel watching over you. We smile, and say yes – probably, not really giving it a second thought. But the question is do you really believe in angels?
I would like to enlighten you with a little bit of insight. You will see that at some point in your life, you may have unknowingly, or even dismissively come into contact with the angelic realm.
There are seven Archangels who are given to us, as related to the seven days of the week:
Michael (Sunday) Gabriel (Monday) Raphael (Tuesday) Uriel (Wednesday) Selaphiel (Thursday) Raguel or Jegudiel (Friday) and Barachiel (Saturday).
How the Angels Can Help Us
Each Archangel has a specific job that they can help us with and they are also colour coordinated. For example, Archangel Michael is associated with the colour blue and he is also the head of all the angels. He is probably best known for his warrior status as Guardian and protector of all. Archangel Michael will help if we are scared and need protection. He will stand at our side or if we want our home protected, he will stand guard over it.
Archangel Raphael is the angel of healing and prosperity. We can associate him with the colour green and we can call upon him to help us with any healing that we feel we need, or indeed for somebody else, you can ask him to go to that person. Archangel Raphael is also associated with prosperity, we can ask him to help us if we are in a financial situation.
These are but two examples of the most well-known Archangels, but we can always seek out the lesser-known Archangels who will help us in whatever area of our life we need a little bit of angelic intervention.
Invoking the Angels
Wearing the colour associated with each angel will help us to feel them around us and draw them closer. We can call upon any angel at any time and ask for their help and they will come. It’s important to remember that the angels cannot, and will not, interfere in our lives, without an invitation – unless it is a situation where we are in danger. If you are going somewhere and you know the parking is difficult, just before your journey, ask the angels to find you the perfect parking space. I can guarantee you they will.
Recognising the Signs of Angels
Finding a white feather: whilst any feather may be a sign, white feathers, are often thought of as the “Calling Card” of the Angels. When we see white feathers in our day-to-day lives, sometimes it’s just the angels passing by, and sometimes it’s them letting us know that they are around and have heard us asking for help. Whether we do this out loud, in prayer, or in a thought; seeing a white feather, is most definitely one to watch out for – especially in places where they would not normally be, such as a stairwell at work, or randomly in your car, or your living room.
Flashes of white light: usually caught in our peripheral vision, flashes of white light are generally an angel passing by. Like us, angels have jobs to do, so they travel past us on a regular basis.
A feeling of being touched: gently on our head, or as if someone has gently walked past us, these feelings are often dismissed as our imagination. Next time this happens to you, just try to say “Hello” as an acknowledgement that you realise that it is an angel passing by.
You may feel that there is someone else in the room: even though there is no one there, or you may feel that there is an invisible presence sitting next to you on the sofa, or the bed, or when we feel there is somebody behind us. These angel signs are said to be accompanied by feelings of warmth and safety of unconditional love.
It’s believed that the angels are always on standby to help and guide us through life. All we have to do is ask for their help. Many psychics work with angel energy to help bring guidance to those who need insight to life, love, work and family. Those who work closely with the angels and the angelic realm can bring clarity and enlightenment your life, but you can also connect with the angels too.
